Dave Gutman has 30 years’ experience in the enterprise resource planning software arena. Dave has worked for ERP software vendors including Sage, Thoroughbred, Apprise, and BatchMaster, where he designed, wrote, implemented, documented, and supported enterprise solutions. This wealth of software vendor experience provides him with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to deliver complete solutions that provide a demonstrable return on investment.

Dave’s primary focus is delivery of business-oriented technology services. He has managed countless ERP projects, including

     Full deployment of a warehouse automation, supply chain logistics for one of America’s premier hosiery distributors; their products are sold by retailers including Walmart, Target, and Costco, as well as a large base of small retailers

       Complex upgrade, and full ERP deployment for a newly-acquired operating unit, at one of North America’s largest appliance distributors; their products are sold in the appliance departments of large and medium-sized retailers

       Redeployment of process manufacturing and accounting software for the US operations of a world-wide food manufacturer
       Deployment of inventory, inbound & outbound logistics, and accounting for a world-wide specialty chemical manufacturer / distributor

       Customer service and shipping – optimization of customer services processes including entry / upload of customer POs, backorder processing, stock allocation, in-and-out processes (drop shipments), EDI integration, Sales Force Automation & 3rd party integration, advanced commissions processing, and integration with freight carrier software (i.e. UPS WorldShip)

       Manufacturing – process manufacturing for food and chemical industries, outside processing (3rd party manufacturing services), and a wide range of reporting requirements

       Supply Chain Planning – demand forecasting using simple and advanced statistical techniques, inventory replenishment based on Graham / Schreibfeder techniques, planning systems ranging from reactive PO generation to comprehensive DRP using multi-warehouse hierarchies, EOQ calculations, safety stock based on forecast accuracy, and cumulative lead-time calculations

       Financial Accounting – created dozens of custom charts of accounts, designed various consolidation solutions, addressed complex revenue recognition requirements

       Accounts Receivable – chargeback management, customer credit management, advanced AR collections, EDI integration

       Accounts Payable – positive pay bank integration, reconciliation of freight carrier charges with incurred inbound & outbound freight services, and royalty processing

       Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) – extensive experience including understanding partner compliance requirements, data configuration and mapping across a wide range transaction sets

       Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – deployment, integration and optimization of various sales management, order capture, and customer lifecycle management solutions

       Payroll / HR – Full understanding of US payroll requirements & processing, spearheaded design and programming of Thoroughbred Software’s Solution-IV Payroll module
